PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Quarterback Matt Ryan provides another shot at a happy homecoming.
A berth in the NFC tournament game is at stake when Thomas leads the Atlanta Falcons (11-6) against the Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) inside a divisional playoff Saturday. Ryan, who have grew up rooting for the Eagles plus went to Philadelphia’s William Penn Rental School, is 1-3 at the Linc.
“I’m used to it now, inch Ryan said about returning house. “Playing as long as I have, I understand no matter where we play you have to be at your greatest every week. The one nice part can there be will be a lot of familiar faces, helpful faces after the game, which is usually nice. ”
Ryan had their worst game of his MVP season last year in Atlanta’s 24-15 loss in Philly on November. 13, 2016. He was eighteen of 33 for 267 back yards with one touchdown and one interception.
“Obviously, there will be some scheme through that game that we’ll get, what went well and what did not go well and try to improve on that will, ” Ryan said. “We’re an alternative team than we were last year whenever we played them and they’re a different group. It will be some carry over, however it will be a little bit different. ”

The Falcons have pumped in artificial sound in practice this week but will low fat heavily on Ryan and middle Alex Mack to use their experience of silent counts and hand indicators.
“That’s huge, ” said limited end Levine Toilolo. “That’s exactly where it all starts, coming off the basketball, the cadence and stuff like that will. We definitely work on that every 7 days. Their fans, we’re expecting a noisy crowd in a big playoff sport. ”
Mack said he desires Philadelphia’s fans “to be actually dedicated, really loud, really included. So it’s going to be a challenge simply in terms of crowd noise. ”
SAFE PLACE: After leading the league within scoring in 2016, the Falcons finished the regular season 15th along with first-year offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian.
Atlanta averaged 22. 1 factors per game, down from thirty-three. 8 last season.
Ryan states he has become more comfortable with Sarkisian, specifically the last two weeks in wins more than Carolina and the Rams.
“I believe Sark has done a great job of actually finding who we are week to 7 days, specifically the last two weeks I think your dog is done a great job, ” Thomas said.
STOPPING JULIO: The Silver eagles had some success against Julio Jones in their win last year, maintaining him out of the end zone yet allowing 10 catches for 135 yards. LeGarrette Blount brought the Eagles with 766 back yards rushing and scored two TDs. Jay Ajayi had 873 back yards rushing and one TD combined with the Dolphins and Eagles.
