THIS TOWN (AP) — Britain and The country of spain say they have held their initial informal Brexit-related talks this week within Madrid touching on how Britain’s long term departure from the European Union could apply at Gibraltar.
The particular EU’s guidelines on negotiations to get Britain’s future relationship with the bloc granted Spain veto rights on the issue of Gibraltar, the small outcrop at the tip of the Iberian Peninsula that London has managed for three centuries against Madrid’s desires.
