HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans have employed Brian Gaine as general supervisor and extended the contract associated with coach Bill O’Brien through 2022.
The team announced the offers Saturday. Gaine signed a five-year contract and O’Brien was prolonged for four years.
Gaine provides 19 years of NFL personnel encounter to Houston. He spent the particular 2017 season as the Buffalo Bills’ vice president of player workers. He also served as the Texans’ director of player personnel through 2015-16 and director of professional personnel in 2014.
Texans proprietor Bob McNair calls Gaine a good “incredibly smart, hardworking individual that knows the importance of good communication. ”
Houston finished 4-12 this season after consecutive AFC South titles the previous 2 yrs. O’Brien’s 31 career victories within four years are tied for that most by a coach in business history.
