WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is looking for recommendations from a range of lawmakers as he views whether to impose trade sanctions on aluminum and steel imports.

The president is meeting on the White House with nearly twenty lawmakers, including a number of senators symbolizing Rust Belt states like Pa, Ohio and Michigan.

Trump states the administration is “considering all of options” but he’s considering giving “tariffs and/or quotas. ”

The particular administration has been weighing whether in order to slap tariffs on aluminum plus steel imports by arguing they will pose a threat to nationwide security. But some opponents warn that will countries like China could retaliate and create a trade war.
