CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Browns fired best executive Sashi Brown, but are maintaining coach Hue Jackson for another time of year despite a 1-27 record.
Dark brown, who was named the team’s best executive by owners Dee plus Jimmy Haslam during an change following the 2015 season, was treated of his duties on Thursday night. In announcing his dismissal, Jimmy Haslam said Brown was informed the team “is going in a new path. ”
Haslam also announced Knutson will remain as coach for following season.
ESPN was first to report Brown’s dismissal.
His firing is not unforeseen since the Browns are 0-12 for your second straight season with Brownish in charge. The team passed up an opportunity to draft quarterbacks Carson Wentz plus Deshaun Watson in the past two breezes and Cleveland has shown little indication of improvement since Brown overtook.
Brown had no experience within evaluating players as he primarily taken care of the team’s salary cap prior to he was promoted.
